Ανησυχία και πολλά ερωτήματα προκαλούν τα αποκλειστικά πλάνα που έχει εξασφαλίσει το Channel 4 από την επίθεση της τουρκικής ακτοφυλακής σε βάρκα με πρόσφυγες, εντός ελληνικών χωρικών υδάτων. Τούρκοι ακτοφύλακες χτυπούν τους επιβαίνοντες με ένα κοντάρι και προσπαθούν να βυθίσουν τη βάρκα.

Αποσπάσματα από το αποκλειστικό ρεπορτάζ, που θα παρουσιαστεί το βράδυ στο Channel 4, δείχνει μέσω Twitter ο δημοσιογράφος του καναλιού Άλεξ Τόμσον. Στο διάρκειας 35 λεπτών βίντεο καταγράφεται η επίθεση τουρκικού πλοίου στη βάρκα που επιβαίνουν πρόσφυγες και μετανάστες, αλλά και η προσπάθεια των μελών της ακτοφυλακής να βυθίσουν το πλοιάριο.

Ο δημοσιογράφος, σε μια σειρά από tweets, παρουσιάζει σημεία από το βίντεο στα οποία καταγράφονται οι επιθετικές ενέργειες.

Οι μετανάστες και πρόσφυγες προσπαθούν με κάθε τρόπο να προστατεύσουν τους εαυτούς τους, αλλά και τη μηχανή της βάρκας από το κοντάρι με το οποίο τους χτυπούν τα μέλη της ακτοφυλακής.

Σε βοήθεια των προσφύγων, ώστε να φθάσουν σώοι στην ξηρά και να μην πέσουν στα βράχια, σπεύδει ένα πλοίο της οργάνωσης MOAS, η οποία επιχειρεί στην περιοχή, αλλά και ένας ψαράς.

Τελικά οι άνθρωποι αποβιβάστηκαν σώοι στο Αγαθονήσι, ενώ μια κοπέλα από την Ερυθραία επιβεβαιώνει πως χτυπήθηκε στο κεφάλι από μέλη της τουρκικής ακτοφυλακής.
