Νεκρή η γυναίκα που άνοιξε πυρ στα γραφεία του Youtube

Νεκρή είναι η γυναίκα που άνοιξε πυρ μέσα στα κεντρικά γραφεία του Youtube στο Σαν Μπρούνο της Καλιφόρνια. Η αστυνομία ανακοίνωσε ότι η δράστης αυτοκτόνησε. Αποκλεισμένη η περιοχή, εκκενώθηκαν τα γραφεία της εταιρείας. Τουλάχιστον τέσσερις οι τραυματίες από το περιστατικό, ο ένας σε κρίσιμη κατάσταση.

Τον αριθμό των τραυματιών, αλλά και την ύπαρξη ενός πτώματος ανακοίνωσε ο αρχηγός της αστυνομίας του Σαν Μπρούνο, μιας περιοχής νότια του Σαν Φρανσίσκο, αναφέροντας στα μέσα ενημέρωσης ότι η βασική εκτίμηση των αρχών είναι ότι η νεκρή είναι η δράστης της επίθεσης και ότι έβαλε τέλος στη ζωή της με πυροβολισμό.

Εκπρόσωπος του Γενικού Νοσοκομείο του Σαν Φρανσίσκο επιβεβαίωσε ότι έχει δεχθεί τρεις τραυματίες. Ο Μπρέντ Άντριους ανακοίνωσε ότι ένας 36χρονος άνδρας είναι σε κρίσιμη κατάσταση, μία 32χρονη γυναίκα σε σοβαρή κατάσταση και ακόμη μία 27χρονη φέρει λιγότερο σοβαρά τραύματα. Δεν υπάρχουν περισσότερες λεπτομέρειες για τον τέταρτο τραυματία.

​Νωρίτερα, όπως έγινε γνωστό, η αστυνομία βρέθηκε στο σημείο απαντώντας σε πολλαπλές κλήσεις για περιστατικό με πυροβολισμούς στα κεντρικά γραφεία της εταιρείας Youtube, η οποία ανήκει στην Google.

Ειδικές δυνάμεις της αστυνομίας εισέβαλαν στο κτίριο και αμέσως ξεκίνησαν διαδικασίες εκκένωσης, οι οποίες ολοκληρώθηκαν λίγη ώρα αργότερα.

Έξω από τα γραφεία της εταιρείας οπλισμένοι αστυνομικοί σταματούσαν όσους έβγαιναν από το κτίριο και τους ζητούσαν να προχωρήσουν αργά και με τα χέρια ψηλά. 

Ζητούσαν, ακόμη, από όσους είχαν εικόνα από το περιστατικό να περιγράψουν τα όσα είχαν δει.

Στο σημείο έσπευσαν και αρκετά ασθενοφόρα, ενώ η περιοχή αποκλείστηκε και τα γραφεία εκκενώθηκαν από το προσωπικό.

At that point every new person I saw was a potential shooter. Someone else said that the person shot out the back doors and then shot themselves.

Υπολογίζεται ότι στα κεντρικά γραφεία της εταιρείας, που ανήκει στην Google, εργάζονται περίπου 1.700 άτομα, ενώ ο τεχνολογικός κολοσσός ανακοίνωσε ότι συνεργάζεται στενά με τις αστυνομικές αρχές.
