Το γεγονός αυτό έχει ως αποτέλεσμα να τροποποιούνται τα σχέδια χιλιάδων ανθρώπων που επιθυμούσαν να ταξιδέψουν με τρένο, στο πλαίσιο των καλοκαιρινών τους διακοπών.
Στον Renfe εργάζονται περίπου 14.000 άνθρωποι, με την ισπανική εργατική ομοσπονδία να υπογραμμίζει ότι η έλλειψη προσωπικού οδηγεί σε αβάσταχτες και σε χαμηλότερη ποιότητα υπηρεσιών.
